This was my first stop after several hours of just riding... I stopped for a bit and thought to myself, why I had not stopped to take some pictures... I was riding on "La Libre" highway many people had told me this was not a very safe highway, also stating that the pavement was poor... On the contrary the roads are perfectly in well shape, lots of fields and small towns I passed by. People are friendly and the children as they saw me pass by they waved at me.
Yes there's lots of cuves on this road and not that many cars on it. I felt priviledged to have the road all by myself on several ocassions, that felt great!! One of the greatest feelings about a trip like this, is that you know you have all the time in the world to stop or continue whenever you want, no body bitchin' or complainting at you but your own. You can ride for many hours and not get tired becuase you loose sense of time. Since rain season had just kicked in these areas the skies were magnificent.
Once back in Tala I looked for the road I had missed earliar and headed up north towards Ahualuco de Mercado. Small town just rode by and continued on to the next town Etzatlan another small town pretty much nothing to see there so I headed on to Magdalena which is just a few kilometers from Tequila...

I thought for a moment about visiting Tquila but it was already getting late and I knew I just had about an hour left of sun light and when I got to Magdalena all of a sudden it got very very windy, storm like weather windy.
I had found a nice spot to camp out in some fields but since it was so windy it was almost impossible for me to set up my tent. Since this was my first time camping out on the road, I didn't wanna risk it with the wind and the tent. So, I made up my mind and decided to continue on the highway 'til i found this really nice lot behind a gas station. There I asked a really nice young gal if it was ok for me to camp out in the back.
The lot of this gas station was hughe there was an RV parked there and two semi-trailers, which was great for me 'cause they covered up the wind while I set up my tent and got all my gear inside of it. The only problem was the semi-truck behind me had a refrigerated box, and left 'til midnite just after he left the wind luckily had stopped and lightning came in and heavy rain just dropped in, perfect for a good night sleep...
